How did it start?

It all started when I graduated from University. I finished Business and Logistics course, got a degree and I planned to move out of my student’s apartment.

At this time, I was planning to go for a few months trip and I didn’t have space to temporarily keep my belongings.

Although my friends couldn’t help me because of the lack of space in their apartments, they asked me:

“Hey Andrew! Do you know that you can rent a self-storage and keep your belongings there?”

I didn’t have a clue what is it, so they explained what self-storage is and how it can solve my problem! At this time, I couldn’t find a lot of information about local self-storage companies, but finally, I found one place close to my town and I rent a self-storage.

All in all, it was a great idea!

My belongings were packed, safe and I could enjoy my amazing trip around the States.

Since I was a teenager, I always wanted to open my own business and help people but I wasn’t sure what kind of company I would like to run.

During my trip, I’ve decided that I will open a Self-storage business. I found a warehouse, hired great employees who helped me and still help me in running my company. Our business was doing very well and despite the very young age, I was a successful businessman.

After a few years of intensive work in the company, I felt that I would like to create a unique website to help people from the whole country find the best local self-storage company.

I sold the storage brick and mortar business and together with my amazing team, we came up with the idea to create a self-storage blog where people can search around the facilities in the UK and support local businesses.
